Mandy Ord is a Melbourne-based comic artist. Her work has
appeared in The Age, Meanjin, The Australian Rationalist magazine, Voiceworks,
Tango, Going Down Swinging and Red Leaves / 紅葉. Since 2009 Ord has also had a regular comic
strip published in Trouble (magazine). In 2004, she was nominated for the
Ledger Award for Small Press Title of the Year for her comic Dirty Little
Creep.
Ord's earliest published work was in her own book Wilnot in
1994. Her first graphic novel was a collaboration with Amber Carvan, Brick Dog
and Other Stories 2002, followed by her first solo graphic novel Rooftops 2007,
published by Findlay Lloyd. Ord is also the author of minicomics Ordinary
Eyeball (2006) and Sensitive Creatures (2004).
Taking out ‘Motion Designer of the Year’at the 2009 10th Annual First Boards Awards in New York and ‘Young Creative Achiever of the Year’ at the Australian Creative Hotshop Awards in 2010, Stephen has had a notable two years since joining XYZ, quickly establishing himself as a director to watch.
He has consistently delivered standout integrated campaigns including work for Leo Burnett Sydney for WWF, Saatchi&Saatchi Beirut for Zain and Ogilvy Pakistan for Coca Cola. These works have won at Clio, AWARD, Art Directors Club New York and MADC. Stephen’s style is intricate, layered and dynamic. He is at home with animation, live-action or a mix between the two and always keeps his eye on telling a fantastical story.
ISOBEL KNOWLES
Isobel is an award winning artist and animator. Her multidisciplinary
practice spans short film, interactive installation, cross-platform
performance, music, painting, photography and illustration. Her most
recent achievements include winning the 2010 Premier of QLD's National
New Media Art Award, being given an Award of Distinction at the 2012 Ars
Electronica Festival and publishing a children's book with Thames &
Hudson.BEN HUTCHINGS
Ben is a prolific cartoonist, illustrator and animator. He prides himself on art which shows visible effort and detail. He recently designed a series of coins for the Royal Australian Mint, and completed illustrating his second children's book. He also produces a popular weekly strip for a major magazine.
He also produces his own comic books, has appeared in numerous exhibitions in Australia and overseas, and has had a diverse range of experience with media such as regular newspaper cartoons, magazine illustration, flash animation, computer game storyboarding.
Ben also has years of experience doing character animation in both traditional and CG for computer games and television.
NORI TOMINAGA
Nori Tominaga is an award winning illustrator and Bald Archy finalist based in Melbourne, Australia.
He began his artistic journey as a boy scanning every Sunday newspaper
for colouring-in competitions. After winning bikes, toys and mountains
of chocolate, a career in the visual arts didn't seem like a bad idea.
His career spans industries from advertising to
animation to video games and has had the privilege of working with some
large clients and studios. These include Animal Logic, iloura VFX, XYZ Studios, Honda, Monash University, Qube Konstrukt, the Victorian Government, ABC Kids, Big Ant Studios, Krome Studios and THQ Blue Tongue.
SEAN HEALY (aka JEAN POOLE)
Sean Healy ( aka 'Jean Poole') - is a Melbourne based video director / producer, specialising in live projections. He has presented work inter/nationally at venues including Jakarta's OK Video festival in Indonesia, the LPM festival in Rome, the Australian Centre for Moving Image, and the Sydney Opera House. He has also shuffled pixels as the Gotye tour VJ, and at festivals such as MONA FOMA, the Adelaide Festival, the Big Day Out, the Meredith Music Festival + Golden Plains, Electrofringe, Stereosonic, Good Vibrations, and the Falls Festival.

KAREN SIMPSON NIKAKIS
Dr Karen Simpson Nikakis is an Australian fantasy author,
writer and poet,whose first fantasy novel The Whisper of Leaves (2007), has
been described as an "impressive debut", with the National Library of
Australia describing her first book as heralding "the arrival of an
exciting new talent on the Australian fantasy landscape". Dr Karen is the Head of Department of
the Bachelor of Writing and Publishing at NMIT.
